We know there are many worthy causes out there and over the years we've been around have tried to donate to as many as possible. Here are the criteria for which we base our donations.
1. Is the organization a 501(3)(c)? 2. Are you a customer or have you been a customer in the past? 3. What will the donation be used for? How will it benefit the organization?
As a small, home-based business with limited time and resources, we have to pick and choose wisely. At this time our primary donations are based upon the breed the owner is involved in - the Great Dane. We are not offering donations to any other breed organization at this time. If the organization is not a 501(3)(c), we will need to know more. If it's a rescue, why is it not? If you're not asking on behalf of a rescue, what will the donation be used for? We prefer to donate where an item will be used in an auction to garner funds for the club or organization. As an example, every year at the Great Dane Club of America National Specialty, donations are made from around the country of items they can use to auction. Funds raised from the auction have a direct impact on the Dane club's charitable fund - funds that are gifted throughout the year to help in rescue/hoarding/seizure cases, individual rescues, research, and more.
We thank you for your understanding and for not loading our email/message boxes if your request does not fit our criteria.
